Larkham

Having moved to a lovely, characterful old farmhouse in Plympton our customer felt the kitchen they inherited was not suited to the property, and lacked much desired worktop space and storage. They also noticed the existing units had covered a window within the kitchen which they wanted to get back in the new design.

Where to go for their kitchen was not a difficult decision as they had worked with someone who had previously purchased a kitchen from Simply Kitchens, and had seen how we worked and quality of the product provided.

Unearthing the existing window gave a huge amount of light back into the room.   Removing the original island which housed a sink meant that all the plumbing had to be re chased back to the external walls and the fitters were then able to cut and re-use the Farmhouse’s original slate floor to ensure it looked like it hadn’t been touched.   Perfection is in the detail.

Wanting the traditional look back the customer selected a light shaker style door accompanied with a black sparkly quartz worktop. They had sourced their own Everhot range in a striking Pillar box red and were keen we design the kitchen around this new feature appliance.   To conceal the temperature controls for the Everhot we placed small units either side of the range which would also offer extra storage.

Glazed wall units, corner pull outs, a large double Belfast sink and the all-important worktop space completed the customers wish list!
