The Coach House

On the edge of Dartmoor, surrounded by rolling fields, in a beautiful coach house full of character our client needed to renew their existing kitchen. The project presented some unique challenges due to the very rustic nature of some of the architecture, and as the kitchen and living space are very open particular care was necessary in choosing styles, colours and textures which would be sympathetic to the demeanour of the property, and offer a timeless quality, a task made easier by the clients flawless taste and eye for detail.    

The look of the kitchen was not the only factor we had to consider, as it is likely the coach house will often be full of friends and family, we had to ensure the ergonomics of the room were sound, by ensuring the appliances and storage were properly located it is possible for meals to be prepared whilst guests are being entertained, but there is also enough space for volunteers to help the chef de jour too.
